Anniversary cake
A couple wanted a replica of their original
wedding cake (left).....
And this is my interpretation (right)
"I would recommend you in a heartbeat and easily would have paid double for the cake you made us. We've tried 5 bakeries in San Antonio (including Nadlers) and your cake is the best replica of our wedding cake we've had in our 10 years. Not only on decor, but the taste is perfection. I'm keeping your card in my wallet so I can have the info handy in case anyone asks me for a good baker. :) "

Curious George
"Cup Cake" Cake
"I asked Alicia for a "cupcake cake" for my son's 1st birthday and provided a picture of what I had in mind, and she created a beautiful and delicious cake for us! She adjusted the design to fit my needs (my son's name, etc.) and the cupcakes were a hit with everyone at the party! Thanks, Alicia!"

Color Flow Camaro
Chevy Camaro I made out of color flow. I traced a drawing I found online with color flow and then filled it in. When I put the piece on the cake I would have piped the tires with buttercream icing.Color flow icing: (too detailed!)
http://www.cupcakefun.com/recipes/colorflow.cfm
I think because I reused the color flow a few days after I made it and didn't mix it good, a few days later the piece above dried like this:
Spring cupcakes
Flower Cup cake
Chocolate Cupcakes

Chocolate CupcakesWilton Sprinkles
Cocoa Sour Cream Icing
1 stick salted butter (not margarine)
2 Cups chocolate chips
1 Cup sour cream
41/2-5 cups sifted powdered
sugar
Melt butter (microwave or stove; I prefer microwave)
Add chocolate chips (if using microwave heat 30 seconds at a time;stirring in between)
Heat until melted
Cool 5 mins.
mix with sour cream
Use mixer to mix; gradually add powdered sugar. Mix until ingredients well blended. Use immediately; dries fast. These do NOT need to be refrigerated.
Valentine's Day Cakes
Whip Cream Icing. Fondant piece in the center to preventcolor bleeding into the whip cream icing.
Stabilized Whip Cream icing:
1/2 Pint(1 cup) Heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons Confectioner's sugar
2 tablespoons piping gel
1/2 teaspoons clear vanilla extract
Mix whipping cream with sugar. Add piping gel and vanilla, mix. I would try hand mixing first.
I used a hand mixer to mix but be vary careful not to over mix. Once it seems whipped enough to mix all the ingredients that is enough. If it gets too much air from the mixer it will start to flatten and get real gross and unable to work with. Also from what I have read whip cream icing runs together so if you use different colors they may run together. I am not sure with this recipe as I have not tried it. I was on a deadline the one and only time I used it and didn't have time to experiment with it.
Buttercream, nothing special!Used heart shaped cookie cutters to make outline on top and side of cake.
